So, I saw this Prada Cleo bag all over Instagram and TikTok, and I thought, “Hey, I can totally make that!” It looked so sleek and stylish, and I’m always up for a good DIY challenge. Plus, who doesn’t love a good designer bag, right? But the price tag? Ouch. That’s where my crafting skills came in handy.
First things first, I needed to gather my materials. I hit up my local craft store and grabbed some faux leather that looked pretty close to the real deal. I also picked up some sturdy fabric for the lining, a zipper, and some hardware to make it look legit. I already had some basic sewing supplies at home, so I was good to go on that front.
Next up, the pattern. I couldn’t find an exact replica of the Cleo bag pattern, so I had to get a little creative. I found a few similar bag patterns online and kind of mashed them together to create something that resembled the Cleo’s shape. It took a bit of trial and error, but I finally ended up with a pattern I was happy with.
Then came the fun part – actually making the bag! I carefully cut out the faux leather and lining according to my pattern. I started by sewing the main body of the bag, making sure to reinforce the seams so it would be nice and durable. After that, I added the zipper, which was a bit tricky, but I managed to get it in there straight. It was then time to attach the lining.

Plus, it cost me a fraction of the price of the designer version. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and it’s holding up great.
