You know what? I saw a fancy bag the other day. They call it Prada Galleria Saffiano Leather Mini-Bag. Sounds like a mouthful, right?
This Prada, it’s a big name. Everyone’s talkin’ ’bout it. They say it’s from them specialty stores. Only rich folks go there, I reckon. These stores, all shiny and bright. Not like our stores at the corner. This bag, it’s for them fancy ladies.
They say this Prada Galleria bag, it’s been around since two thousand and seven, that’s what I heard. And it’s still popular. Must be somethin’ special, huh? These city folks, they like things that last, I guess. Not like us, buyin’ new stuff every year.
This here bag, it’s made of somethin’ called Saffiano leather. Sounds tough, like the hide of an old bull. They say it’s real leather, but they do somethin’ to it. Make it look all fancy. They use some words that I don’t really understand, like “chrome-tanned” or “vegetable-tanned”. Seems like a lot of work just to make a bag. And they say that it is thick, depends on what they use it for. Different animal hides I think.
And get this – this Saffiano, it doesn’t change much over time. Stays the same, they say. Other leather, it gets all soft and different-lookin’. Not this one. It just stays the same, year after year. Kinda boring, if you ask me.

They got this bag in black. Black is always good, I always say. Goes with everythin’. Black leather, they call it. And they say it’s for shoppin’. Fancy shoppin’, I bet. Not like when I go to the market for my veggies.
Now, this bag, it ain’t cheap. I heard the price, and my jaw dropped. They said it’s like five hundred eighty-eight thousand, then say no, it is five hundred thirty-four thousand. I don’t even know what that means, that is a lot. Too much for a bag, if you ask me. Could buy a whole lot of other things with that kind of money. But these rich folks, they like to spend their money on these things. They say it will take days to deliver it to you.
This Prada Galleria, they say it’s elegant. Means fancy, I think. And versatile. Means you can use it for lots of things. They say it’s made real precise, like them machines in the factory. But also made by hand, real careful-like. It’s all clean and, uh, sophisticated. That’s another one of them fancy words. It is leather, so that is good I think.
And this bag, it’s small. They call it micro. Even smaller than mini. Can’t fit much in there, I bet. Maybe just your lipstick and some money. Not like my big old purse. I can fit everythin’ in there.

You can buy these bags at fancy stores, the Saks, they say. But they say it’s on sale. Like, a lot off. Still too much for me, though. Seventy percent off, they say. Seventy percent of a lot is still a lot, ain’t it? I don’t know why people want these expensive bags. It is real leather though, top handle bag they say.
This Prada Galleria Saffiano Leather Mini-Bag, it’s a mystery to me. Why folks spend so much money on a little bag. But hey, to each their own, right? If they got the money, they can spend it how they want. Me, I’ll stick to my old bag. It’s got character. And it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg. That’s for sure.
This bag, it is somethin’. But it is not for me, I do not need a small bag like this. I have too many things to carry. Maybe if I was rich, I would buy it. But I am not, so I won’t. But it is a nice bag, I will say that. This Prada, it is somethin’ else.
