Okay, so, I’ve been eyeing this OMEGA Speedmaster “Silver Snoopy Award” 50th Anniversary watch for a while now. You know, the one that came out on October 5th, 2020? Yeah, that’s the one. It’s not a limited edition, technically, but man, it’s hard to get your hands on one!
I finally decided to pull the trigger and called up the Omega boutique. After chatting with them and putting myself on the waitlist. Because, you know, this watch is so popular, I need to wait. It took me nearly half a year to get this watch.
So, I went to the boutique, paid the retail price, and walked out with this beauty on my wrist. And let me tell you, it was worth every penny. This Speedmaster is something special. Not just because it’s a Speedmaster, but because of the whole Silver Snoopy connection.
- First spacewalk? Omega Speedmaster.
- First manned lunar orbit? Omega Speedmaster.
- Apollo 13 rescue mission? You guessed it, Omega Speedmaster.
- Moon landing? Omega Speedmaster!
This watch is a piece of history! It’s a tribute to the Silver Snoopy Award that NASA gave to Omega in 1970 for their contribution to the Apollo 13 mission. And this 50th Anniversary version? It’s just awesome.
I wore it out that day, and I couldn’t stop looking at my wrist. It is so classic and stylish! I love it so much. I think I made a very smart decision to buy it.
