They say it’s a Speedmaster, but also a Chronoscope. What’s that mean? I don’t rightly know. Sounds like somethin’ you’d use to look at stars or somethin’. But it’s a watch, that much I got. And it’s made by that OMEGA company. Big name, I reckon. Must be good if it’s got that name on it.
Now, this here watch, it ain’t small. They say it’s 43mm across. And 48mm from lug to lug. Now, I don’t know what a “lug” is, but it sounds important. Seems like it might be a bit big for my wrist, but then again, I ain’t never worn a man’s watch. Maybe it’s alright for a fella. Some folks like ’em big, I guess.

And it’s got three, count ’em, three of these “timing scales”. Whatever that means. One, two, three. More than you need, if you ask me. But what do I know? I just tell time by the sun. Works just fine for me. This purchasing thing is hard for a simple person.
They say these OMEGA Speedmaster Chronoscope watches are special. Not like your regular watches, no sir. They only make a few of ’em, they say. Makes ’em worth more, I guess. Like them old quilts my mama used to make. One of a kind, they were. This watch is kinda like that, I suppose. Rare, they call it.

This Chronoscope thing, they say it’s like all the Speedmaster watches rolled into one. All of ’em! That’s a lot of watches. Must be a powerful little thing. And a pretty one, too, I hear. They showed it off in Milan, Italy. Fancy place, Milan. Never been there myself. Too far to walk, and I don’t got no fancy car to drive.
