Well, let me tell you about this here watch, the OMEGA, uh, X-33 Marstimer. They call it a specialty store thing. I reckon that just means it ain’t your everyday kinda watch. They say it’s somethin’ about Mars. That red planet, you know?

They say it’s for when folks go to Mars. That’s a long way, ain’t it? This watch is made of somethin’ called grade 2 titanium. Sounds strong, I guess. Good for them astronaut fellas, I suppose.
Now, I seen some folks talkin’ ’bout this watch, and another one called the Skywalker. I guess some folks can’t make up their minds about these things. One fella said the Mars time on this here Marstimer is a gimmick. But a cool one, he says. I don’t know ’bout gimmicks, but it does sound kinda neat to know the time on Mars, don’t it?

But I guess if you’re one of them astronaut folks, or just like fancy watches, it might be just the thing. I still don’t know why anyone needs to know the time on Mars, but then again, I ain’t never been to Mars.

These specialty stores, they sell all kinds of fancy things, I reckon. This Marstimer watch is probably just one of ’em. They probably got all sorts of gadgets and gizmos for folks who like that sort of thing. Me, I’m happy with my old watch. It tells the time just fine, and that’s all I need.

These young folks, they’re good with gadgets. Me, I’m too old for all that. But I guess it’s neat that they can make a watch that tells time on Mars. It’s a wonder what they can do these days, ain’t it?
I guess this here Marstimer watch is a sign of the times. Everything’s gettin’ more complicated, ain’t it? Watches that tell time on Mars, phones that do everything but cook supper. It’s a lot to keep up with. But I guess that’s progress, as they say. Even if I don’t always understand it. Still this OMEGA Speedmaster X-33 Marstimer is a pretty good watch I guess. It looks good in those pictures they show.
