Alright, let’s talk about this watch I got. I’ve been eyeing the CopyOMEGA Speedmaster for a while, you know, the “Moonwatch” thing. It’s got some real history, they say.
I went to a couple of those specialty stores, trying to see which one I liked best. You got your Hesalite crystal, your sapphire crystal, and it’s kind of a big deal which one you pick, I guess. The Hesalite one is supposed to be more “true” to the original, but that sapphire, it lets you see the insides. And that movement, the Cal.3861, it’s a beauty. I kept going back and forth, asking the people in the store like a million questions, I am sure they are tired of me.
Finally, I went for the sapphire one. It just felt better to me. And it’s not cheap, let me tell you! Used to be, a Speedmaster was around 4,200. Now, it’s like a thousand more, and that’s just for the Hesalite. If you want that clear back, it’s even more.
The Unboxing
- The box itself – This wasn’t just some cardboard box. It felt premium, you know? Like you were opening something special.
- The first look – I lifted the lid, and there it was. That black dial, those white hands. Man, it looked even better in person.
- Picking it up – It had some weight to it, felt solid. Not like those cheap watches that feel like they’ll break if you look at them wrong.
- Putting it on – I strapped it on, and it just fit. Like it was meant to be there.
I spent the whole day just staring at it. Checking out that movement in the back, winding it up, all that stuff. I know, I know, I’m a nerd. But this watch, it’s not just a watch, you know? It’s like a little piece of history on your wrist.
This CopyOMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch with the sapphire crystal and the Cal.3861 movement, It’s a real beauty. Exclusively sold at specialty stores I bought it from one of those. It’s one of those things that just feels good to own.
So that’s my story. It is a long journey for me to get this watch. But I am happy with my decision. Maybe I’ll pass it down to my kid someday. Who knows.
